I have seen a lot of events over the last few days. Judo (Japan won), Tennis (Venus Williams beat a Hungarian woman), Synchronized diving (I think Japan won again), a few I can't remember right now, and yesterday I saw Volleyball. (Greece beat Tunisia and Italy beat the USA). Going to all these events has been really fun because I've had a chance to see a lot of sports that I have never seen before, but speaking of sports, I want to comment on sportsmanship and something that is really bothering me. (pissing me off!) If you saw the opening ceremony you would know that Greece has about 400 athletes competing in the games. Only the USA has nearly as many, and obviously this is offweighted considering the size of Greece. But that is fine, because they are hosting the games! What I want to comment on is sportsmanship, because I think Greece needs to learn a big lesson about what that is. Because we are in Greece the stands are usually packed full of Greeks (every event I have gone too, actually). When you have tens of thousands of people in the stands, if you all get together you can make a lot of noise, and it is quite possible to disturb the athletes. I think it is ok to cheer your team on, but the Greeks are pissing me off because they all get together and BOOOOOOO athletes and judges. When I was at synchronized diving I have to say that the Greeks pretty much sucked. Their divers were not doing so well, so every time they got the low score they deserved they booed the judges. And last night at Volleyball, every time the Tunisians went to serve, the entire stadium booed them. I think that is ridiculous! Well, some of you know I have a loud voice and I can outyell an entire section of them anyway

I also have a couple of security concerns. I am wearing a slouch hat and they never check under it, and they are allowing spectators to bring in cameras with lenses in the range of 1 1/2 feet in length. That is a clear danger. We have seen guns disguised as pens, so I don't see a big engineering problem with disguising one as a long camera lens.
Other than that, Greece has been absolutely great. I love the authentic Mediterranean food, drinking frappe for breakfast every morning (they don't eat breakfast! crazy!) and sleeping with only a sheet at night and the window open to keep cool.
Right now I am getting ready to go to the National Archaeological Museum, which is one of the most famous in the world, and one of the few I haven't been to in Europe, so I am excited about that. And Google has a new logo up for swimming!
