HE HAS ARRIVED! in Greece! My host family has made me feel so welcome, and opened the door with an original Greek frappe(sp) coffee. Staying also in my room is a cute Canadian chick from Canada...erm...let's just say I said something equally stupid when I met her! The view is great, I can see the main olympic complex, and tonight we are going for a nice stroll around the city. That means I will have photos soon! In the meantime, we are sitting around watching 24 hour coverage of the torch being run in circles around Athens. (the news is in Greek, I just laugh when they laugh, and they translate things that are relevant; it works!) The media doesn't yet know who the last person to hold the torch will be so it is a bit of a mystery. The torch, by the way, will stay the night at the Acropolis. I can't wait to see it enter the opening ceremony tomorrow evening!
